If you drive I-8 to the east from San Diego, in 2 or 3 hours, you will find a huge area of Algodones Sand dunes in Imperial county, California. A Canal from Colorado river crosses the sand dunes in the middle. A lot of commercials and movies have been taken in these sand dunes. There is nothing but sand. Take a hike, and feel the sand.
